Three Ways to Successfully Wrap up the Work Team’s Efforts

When the effort of the work team is over; take these three steps to wrap up the work they have done:

1. Collaborate with the team to develop the final report on the team’s results. Include information on the original goals of the team, summarize their accomplishments, summarize the research/data collected and analyzed, include the conclusions reached and the team’s recommendations. Ask members of the team to present the result of their efforts to the leadership team.
2. Evaluate accomplishments of the team. What are the team’s lessons learned? What went well with the team’s efforts? Where could improvements be made to enable better team performance in the future?
3. Celebrate the team’s successes! Get the team together to celebrate the work they did and the successes of the team.
